Great analysis. I also see that is through advertising all of the intentions and subtleties of corporate manipulation are laid bare. All the content that matters is in the advertisements. programming is secondary.

Unfortunately, it isn't just Apple. It's virtually all the big tech companies. Apple's marketing is arguably just the worst of them. Google's Gemini, for example, is only the tiniest bit better.

I saw that second Apple commercial (birthday) over the weekend - it left me depressed, but I couldn't understand why. Thank you for putting it into words.

At first, I dismissed it as just sleazy marketing. But because of the constant pounding on YouTube, followed by on broadcast TV during football, I really started thinking about it and could not find any positives in it.
